Shopping in Miami

Lincoln Road Mall
This seven-block, open-air pedestrian mall is located in the heart of Miami Beach’s South Beach neighborhood. The Art Deco-inspired shopping district features more than 400 businesses, including trendy clothing stores, art galleries, outdoor cafes, European-style ice cream shops, and an Art-Deco movie theater that specializes in independent films.

Bal Harbour Shops
This stylish mall is located on Collins Avenue in Bal Harbour, north of Miami Beach. The shops here include a liberal sampling of the world’s top designers, including Bulgari, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Prade, and Versace. There’s also a few more modest stores as well as Saks and Neiman Marcus.

The Bayside Marketplace
Located on the waterfront in downtown Miami, Bayside Marketplace is a two-story shopping center that offers a sampling of traditional mall stores as well as uniquely Miami products. There’s life entertainment daily and an open-air market filled with craft and locally-made items. On the weekends, relax on the second-floor balcony with a frozen drink and watch the cruise ships depart from nearby Dodge Island.

CoCoWalk
Coconut Beach was one of America’s first planned communities when it was developed in the 1920s. CocoWalk is an open-air shopping center in the heart of the neighborhood, with cafes, shopping, nightclubs, and a multi-screen movie theater. You could spend all day here.

Sawgrass Mills
South Florida’s favorite outlet shopping center, Sawgrass Mills offers more than 350 stores. The shopping mall, the largest in the state of Florida, is located in Sunrise, north of Miami. In addition to shopping, there are 35 restaurants, several theaters, and a children’s play area.

Books & Books
Like its branch in Coral Gables, this beautiful indie bookstore has an excellent array of titles, especially when it comes to Floridian and Miamian history, photography, coffee-table tomes, and literature by local authors from Edna Buchanan to Carl Hiaasen. You can also catch poetry readings and author book signings.
